Why I Left Social Media

Hey guys! I’m back! So sorry for disappearing again for so long, that was absolutely not my intention. I initially planned to go offline for just a short period of time because I started doing The Gupta Programme, which is a limbic system brain retraining programme where they recommend that you avoid consuming all health related content whilst you are doing the programme, so I signed offline to avoid that because most of my social media accounts are centered around health and wellness.

Then, once I went offline, I unexpectedly found that I was really enjoying the privacy. I’ve been sharing about my health, so publicly, for so long that I had no idea how much I valued the privacy until I actually had it. I don’t know why I was so surprised by this because in all other areas of my life, I consider myself to be a very private person!

There are also many other negatives to sharing so publicly online which I undeniably enjoyed having a break from. However, I’ve wanted to come back online for a while now. I miss you guys! I miss connecting with you! I miss creating content! And I miss this community we have created! I’ve been trying to figure out a way that I can come back online whilst still trying to avoid some of the negative aspects, retaining my boundaries and creating content in a way that works best for me. I hope you can understand that!

I also needed some time away to focus on my healing following a deterioration in my health throughout 2021 / 2022 period.

Thank you to those of you who have been incredibly supportive of me taking a break, it means a lot to me :) For the time being I will just be writing blog posts here on my website, sending out my email newsletter so make sure you're signed up! and posting regular updates on my Goodreads account; so if you’re a fellow book lover, I’ll see you over on Goodreads!

Here is the blog post I wrote recently, ‘UK Based Lyme Disease Specialists and Practitioners.’ It’s the list that I wish I could have had access to when I was first diagnosed with Lyme disease many years ago. I hope that it’s helpful for you and if you know anyone with Lyme disease, make sure you pass it on as you never know how much it might benefit them!
