This is the list that I wish I had access to when I first heard of Lyme disease, after discovering how the symptoms matched my own, leading to a desire to get tested for Lyme (with a reliable test not the NHS one... more on this coming soon), and once positive testing confirmed I had active Lyme disease and other co-infections, where to begin with seeking treatment.

The following are either medical doctors or other types of practitioners who specialise in treating people who have Lyme disease. If you have not yet been diagnosed and suspect you are suffering from Lyme disease and / or co-infections, it's best to reach out to the people listed to see if they can provide testing and guidance on which specific tests they recommend for you personally based on your clinical history and symptoms. If you have already been diagnosed with Lyme disease and / or co-infections then all of the below can help treat you.

It's important to note that although many of these doctors, practitioners, and clinics have a specific location that they are based, they often work with patients all over via Zoom so it's best to reach out to them to see the best way for you to work with them.

If you are not in the UK but looking for a doctor or practitioner to work with then it might be worth contacting any of the recommendations I listed to see if they work with people in your country.

I really hope this was helpful!! As time goes on, it seems there are more and more specialists in Lyme disease as people become more aware of the condition and sadly more people are affected, especially compared to when I was first diagnosed. Therefore, I will keep adding to this list as I discover people who help me on my personal recovery journey as well as those who have come on recommendation from others who are improving from Lyme disease.

If you are currently trying to get better from Lyme or simply trying to live well with Lyme, don't give up hope, there is lots of help available and options out there. Keep on going! You can do this and have faith that you will get to where you want to be :)

Bye for now! Lots of love, Emma

PS. If you know anyone with Lyme disease or who suspects they might have Lyme then please share this blog post with them you never know how much it may help them :)
